Green Corridor

Objective
VELNEC developed the designs for the Carrera Séptima Green Corridor, one of Bogotá’s most significant urban projects, conceived to promote sustainable mobility, revitalize public space, and support the city’s ecological transition.
The project incorporated universal accessibility standards,
cycling infrastructure, urban tree planting, and intermodal connectivity.
Scope
The scope included the development of detailed urban and engineering designs for construction, covering 7.68 km of roadway improvements and more than 125,000 m² of public space.
Project Details
The project integrated landscaping, signage, wet and dry utility networks, and sustainable transportation systems. Nine BRT stations were designed, each covering more than 1,000 m², along with two vehicular bridges featuring 25-meter spans. All designs were developed in accordance with local and national technical standards.
